U-1196, U-1212, U-8787 find a bottomless pit filled with dead red blood cells while on patrol. It's a blood clot.
Elsewhere, AA2153 and AC1677 try to do their deliveries without getting killed in the process. A senior red blood cell approaches them, and they decide to go to the liver for a good time. However, due to the increase in smoking and alcohol consumption, the liver has lost its vitality and vigor. Leading the hepatocytes to become sick.
While AA2153 is mystified by this situation, he and his colleagues are asked by other red blood cells to help carry oxygen because there's no one else to help because they lack in numbers.
Due to their dwindling numbers, the red blood cells can't get any rest. Even so, they must continue with their assignments. They discover a blood clot in the calves, a Deep Vein Thrombosis.
To make matters worse, the senior red blood cells attempt to murder AA2153 and AC1677 by kicking them into the blood clot. Luckily, U-1196 arrives in the nick of time and rescues them.
The blood clot comes loose and travels through the body, killing the senior red blood cell bullies along the way, until it clogs the pulmonary artery. AA2153 and AC1677 try to remove the clot, but they're not strong enough.
This leads the body to suffocate. AA2153 comes with an idea and tells the red blood cells to use the brachial arteries to get to the lungs. Thus, allowing them to sustain the lungs until the clot dissolves. U-1196 tells AA2153 that he was the hero today and thanks the rookie for his efforts.
On patrol, U-1196 is shocked to find all the other white blood cells are missing.
